As part of our Ruby Jubilee Celebration, we are updating our logo and website! The International Society for Educational Biography (ISEB) is inviting individuals and small groups to create a contemporary, new logo that will be used for the web site, printed matter, in social media and so on.
The contest is open from 12:01 A.M. (EST), 1 October 2022 and closes at 11:59 P.M. (EST) 31 January 2023. Late entries will not be considered. The winner will be notified via email on 28 February 2023. View the full rules here. Questions can be submitted to Dr. Penny Craig.

The International Society for Educational biography began in the fall of 1982 and has continued for the last 40 years. Educationists have long had an interest in biography. The practice of illuminating pedagogical thought and practice by including biographical accounts of important theoreticians and practitioners goes back to at least 1847. The current focus encompasses ethnography, autoethnography, biography, memoir, life history, oral history, family history, testimonio, as well as letters, interviews, bio-pics, literary texts, arts and performance, and other popular culture products that shed light on the narratives of/about individuals, groups, and communities. The phrasing, “historic times,” recognizes the urgency of narrating our own time as well as historically significant contributions and invites conversations across boundaries of disciplines, genre, theory, temporality, and geography about how life writing reflects and contributes to social changes.
